Take a look at some lawn care tips from our friends over at SuperSod
Warm Season Lawns
Prepare to fertilize warm season lawns (Zoysia, Bermuda, Centipede) after they fully green up and are actively growing. In many areas, soil temperatures are warm enough to fertilize the warm-season grasses (soil temps should be above 65 degrees).
TifBlair Centipede should be fertilized with very little fertilizer. Centipede Formulation 5-10-30 + Iron.
Elite Tall Fescue Lawns
Stop fertilizing Fescue for the summer.
With warmer weather approaching, it's time to stock up on fungicide for tall fescue lawns.
If you need to apply Lime to raise the pH
Soil Test Note: Always apply fertilizer and lime based on soil tests. A lawn may need less than you assume! Testing is not expensive.
It's too late for pre-emergent herbicide and now spring is time for post-emergent weed control.
Mowing! Mow, mow, mow. Mow to suppress weeds from making seeds and making more weeds.
